Excellent place to stay during your vacation in Cancun. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant food is good and the beach is just wonderful, idyllic!! The fact that it is an all-inclusive hotel is definitely a plus. The only not so good aspect would be that some areas of the hotel, like the bathroom in the guest room for example, could use some renovations. However, if you're not picky and like me, you're basically using the room for sleeping and taking a shower, this is a good choice for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at Occidental Tucancun. The staff were really awesome and made sure to help us whenever we needed. I think we were lucky with the time we chose to travel (the week after thanksgiving) because the resort was not packed at all. The place was really clean and staff kept it that way 24/7. They got 4 different restaurants and different pools. It would be very appreciated if they can add some Halal options to their food menu.

The area is pretty good across from the hotel is a mall & also a 10 min walk to an outdoor shopping center. The hotel is nice I am a timeshare owner and the room I had on the 2nd floor was nice ocean view and large deck the food was okay some stuff wasn’t labeled so I didn’t bother with it. for breakfast I would advise going for the omelettes and the pancakes since it’s being made in-front of you. They do tell you when your at the buffet you must wear a mask when getting your food. The pool area was nice and clean The bars open at 11am and closes 11pm by 1050pm they start to put everything away the bartenders start to get a bit rude and if you order a drink they just literally give you a whatever drink or they completely ignore you because they are trying to clean and get out. The main bar does gets crowded with people at night since they do have someone entertaining you with music.

The property was beautiful. They have three different pools great entertainment food was so so but not too bad. The staff here are amazing. We will definitely come back. Absolutely loved it! The view from our suite was amazing. We had a relaxing and fun week. Loved the pools, especially the adult only pool. The service we received was great. The wait staff in the buffets and restaurants were do personable and helpful. Definitely hope to return!

This resort was lovely! Everyone was friendly and attended to me and my husband everywhere we went. The place was very clean and kept up. The beaches were nice and the pool was clean too. There were some problems with the water pressure a few times and the food was good but started to taste the same after a while. The massage services were nice! Well worth the time. The best part was the view from my room and comfy beds. I will be back again hopefully next year.

We had an excellent time at Occidental Tucancún! Our room was excellent, food was great, and amenities were wonderful. Would stay again. Also, Dalida Perez was the waiter we kept trying to find in the dining halls because she was incredible. She was running around serving many tables and still found time to come chat with us and make us feel comfortable. Seriously, such a wonderful human and hard working lady. She also cheered up my husband when he was having a hard time the first couple of days. We will be back!! -Joanne and Quinn

I’ve stayed here twice, both times amazing. The staff works so increuhard to ensure you are having a good time. Everyone speaks amazing English which make you feel so safe. Every time you exit in a taxi the license plate is recorded. A mall is conveniently located right in front of the hotel. A down town area is located not to far from the hotel as well and Ruth Chris is a skip and a hop away. If you cross the street and go to the restaurant in the other side of the water you can get some amazingly authentic Mexican food and maybe even see an alligator. This was a great place to stay ! Will be back again. I only suggest more food 24hrs what is provided late night is not enough it is only small pastry’s and for those drinking this is too little

Hotel com excelente atendimento, possui quartos com vista pro mar, acomodações excelentes, com regime All Inclusive, quartos com cofres e frigobar reabastecido diariamente, comidas e bebidas em qualquer horário que procurar, limpo organizado e muito bem localizado na zona hoteleira, perto do shopping La Isla, e preços muito atraentes, recomendo. Fué una estancia muy grata, pero falta mucho personal para una mejor atención, porque no pueden, se aglomera la gente y estando en estando de contingencia preventiva no es aceptable; la poca gente con la que cuenta el hotel está al 100% pero no se dan abasto. Por lo demás ,es un muy bonito hotel con buenas instalaciones y buena comida.

Excelente hotel. Viajé hace unos días y se toman todas las medidas correspondientes ante la situación de la pandemia. Las habitaciones luminosas, limpias, con agua caliente siempre, secadora y frigobar; las tres albercas grandes y limpias; la comida super buena, siempre con buffet asistido en los restaurantes; la playa sensacional, amplia y turquesa; los empleados amables y con actitud de servicio. En general, todo super bien! Te hacen sentir como en casa. Sin duda volvería.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in a premium villa. The rooms were dated and in need of work. There were cracks in the ceiling and the refrigerator didn’t get very cold. The food was mediocre at best. Due to COVID, the a la carte restaurants were closed except for 1 night and the buffets were repetitive and often soggy. Drinks were fantastic though and the bartender Antonio literally made our entire trip worthwhile! He is an absolute delight to be around and we miss him dearly! The entire staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We will be back to Cancun but unfortunately we will be staying at another resort.

Me gusta el lugar donde se encuentra en hotel, tiene una playa muy bonita y espaciosa, cuando he ido no hay demasiada gente y los servicios son buenos, como todo hotel tiene algunos detalles que mejorar pero en esta última visita me lleve un agradable sabor de boca por algunos de sus colaboradores que tienen una excelente actitud de servicio como el caso de Carmen Fajardo que trabaja como mesera en el restaurante principal bueno el principal que está en el lobby, es una excelente persona con gran actitud siempre buscando complacer nuestras peticiones aún cuando algunas resultaban complicadas, estoy muy agradecido ya que ese tipo de cosas te hacen sentir especial como cliente.

My wife and I visited this resort the first week of Sept. 2020. If you are scared of Covid, this is a great place. They did temp checks at the entrance, masks required everywhere except in your room or pool. They even sanitize your bags as you check-in and temp checks when you eat at the buffet! The real downside is more a casualty of covid than the resort itself, but the specialty restaurants were all closed and you only had the option of buffet dining breakfast, lunch, & dinner. And the buffet was generally staffed with only a few and only they could put food on your plate. Severs were very friendly and helpful for anything extra. I found the room service food quality to be superior to the buffet. Had the specialty restaraunts been open I think the food experience would have been much better. As "club members" the members lounge was sparse with "extras" and the premium liquors were limited to Absolut Vodka, Don Anjo Tequila, Captain Morgan Rum, and Jack Daniels Whiskey and only available by request at one of the three bars that were open. All that aside, the rooms were nice and the views were outstanding. Nothing to obstruct and a lot of the rooms if not all had a balcony. Access to shopping and entertainment was all very close and within walking distance. My wife did a girls trip here June 2019 and it was a much different world landscape and she recommended it for this trip. We just wish all the different changes would have been disclosed. We would come back, but we just wish we had been better prepared for the restrictions of restaurants and bars within the resort.

The food is poor, is incredible say poor food in Barceló , I can believe but never had experience like this on Barceló. When you are in the pool nobody ask you if need something (because don’t have enough employees). The only reason to come back is the people, nothing else. Thanks

We recently spent 6 nights at this hotel. We were on vacation from Toronto & we were little skeptical about this place initially as it was our first time in Cancun, however, when we got there we were very impressed by the location, quality of food, cleanliness and the great customer service. The rooms were very clean and they cleaned it every day too. They responded to all our inquiries. There were shows every night and the Italian restaurant was fantastic. You need to make reservation at the Italian Restaurant and the Chinese one too but all worth it for sure. There was a nice shopping mall steps away ( Literally 2 minutes walk ) has a great shopping area upstairs and good selection of gift shops. I wanted to thank Manuel and Ismael who provided us with excellent service.

O custo benefício é ótimo! A localização do Hotel é boa! Ele fica na zona hoteleira, em sua frente está o mar, e atrás está o Shopping Kukulkan. O ônibus público não passa na frente do hotel, mas sim na frente do Shopping Kukulkan (distância uns 200 metros). A estrutura do Hotel também é boa. Existe a ala velha e a ala nova. Ficamos em uma acomodação da ala velha. De modo geral, o quarto era bom, bem espaçoso, cama muito boa (cama King), e mobiliado com 01 aparador, 01 poltrona, 01 mesa de escritório e 02 criado mudo. Como comodidades da acomodação, tínhamos frigobar com cerveja (O hotel trabalha com Corona), refrigerantes, água tônica e mineral,e alguns snacks (amendoim salgado e chocolate) que estava no sistema All Inclusive. Havia também cafeteira, e no banheiro kits de higiene pessoal (hidratante corporal, touca para banho, sabonete em barra, kit custura, creme dental e escovas), e nos dispenser shampoo, condicionador, sabonete líquido, lenço de papel. No hotel funcionam 04 restaurantes. Para café da manhã, ficam abertos 02 deles em sistema buffet das 7h as 11h30h.. É servido no padrão internacional, como muita variedade de frutas, pães, comidas típicas mexicanas e ovos (mexidos, cozidos e omelete feito na hora), com café, sucos, iogurtes. Para almoço, segue o mesmo padrão de buffet com 02 restaurantes que ficavam abertos das 11h30 até as 18h. Padrão internacional também. É frequente frutos do mar, frango e porco. Já carne de gado era mais frequente em jantas. Mas com muitas variações de saladas, legumes e sobremesas (incluindo sorvete italianinho) E nas jantas, sempre havia 03 a 04 restaurantes abertos: em que 02 funcionavam no sistema buffet e 01 a 02 apenas com reservas em que era servido a la carte. Nas jantas com reserva os temas eram: Jantar Italiano, Jantar frutos do mar, ou Jantar mexicano. Quem esquecesse de fazer reserva poderia jantar nos outros dois que eram buffet sem problema algum. Não tivemos nenhum problema quanto a politica de reservas, ou de ficar sem comer por questão de horários.Um adendo, é que nos jantares com reserva existe código de vestimenta: homens devem usar calças com sapato fechado. Nas outras refeições (café e almoço) só não era permitido uso de traje de banho, contudo que estivesse usando uma saída de praiaou vestido por cima, estava ok também. O atendimento é 100% muito bom! Os funcionários são atenciosos, prestativos e muito educados. Tudo o que solicitamos foi prontamente atendido. Ganhamos do hotel um espumante como cortesia a meu noivado que aconteceu lá e também no dia do noivado as arrumadeiras deixaram pétalas de rosas da cama! Um mimo! No lazer, ele possui 3 piscinas, sendo: 01 geral com animação e atividades (que funciona das 9h as 17h, atividades como voleibol na água, hidroginástica, e bingo), 01 com borda infinita, e 01 somente para adultos. Cada uma delas tinha seu próprio bar, e na piscina de adultos, bar molhado. Muitas cadeiras com guarda-sol, e toalhas especificas para piscina. Há uma sala de jogos com mesa de sinuca e jogos on-line (o uso destes nao esta incluso no ALL INCLUSIVE do hotel). Há Academia com esteiras, elíptico,estação de musculação, alguns alteres e pesos. E há o teatro que abre a noite com apresentações variadas. Há algumas lojas dentro do hotel que servem para algo de urgência, pois os preços são um pouco salgados. Wi-fi é pago, são 12 doláres por dia. Na estadia você recebe o direito de usar 30 min - apenas 1 vezes, 1 acesso. Há SPA no hotel (com serviço terceirizado) com valores um pouco salgados também. Há uma agência de fotos (também terceirizada), que faz seções de 20 min e lhe dá como cortesia 01 foto. O restante se quiser adquirir tem o custo de 10 dólares, e o valor vai baixando de acordo com o número de fotos compradas (são entregues em CD e Whatsapp).Voltaria a me hospedar!
